The trail from Kaweah Gap travels down the Big Arroyo where it splits in three. One route leads to Little Five Lakes, another to the Chagoopa Plateau, and the third continues down the canyon to where Lost Canyon and Soda Creek meet it. There is no trail down Big Arroyo to Kern Canyon although it is not a difficult cross country route. I did it in 1959 at age 14.
